A leading government agency is seeking 4 x skilled Data & Reporting Finance Analysts to support strategic decision-making through high-quality financial analysis and reporting. This role sits within a dynamic division focused on market performance, pricing policy, and economic insight, contributing to nationally significant initiatives.

Your new role

As an APS6 Data & Reporting Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering financial data analysis, reporting, and insights that support pricing and market monitoring. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and relevance in financial reporting Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing and maintaining financial dashboards and reports.
  • Extracting, analysing, and interpreting large datasets to support pricing decisions.
  • Supporting the Annual Pricing Review and other key financial publications.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure alignment of financial data and reporting standards.
  • Assisting in the identification of pricing anomalies and expenditure trends.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial data reporting.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and statistical tools such as R or Python.
  • Ability to communicate financial insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with large datasets and data warehouses.
  • Relevant qualifications in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
