Join an integrated banking and finance team of 10 led by a partner recognised for advising on some of the most complex restructuring and special situations mandates in the Asia-Pacific market. This team is one of the most internationally active finance and restructuring teams in Perth. The practice is engaged on high-value restructurings, distressed financings, refinancing's, and insolvency-related transactions, with an emphasis on cross-border matters involving Hong Kong, London, Australia, and Europe.

The team operates within an integrated global platform and is strategically positioned to give lawyers a breadth of exposure rarely available in the Perth market, positioning you for the highest end of global opportunities career wise both internally and externally, moving forward.

The role combines technical restructuring, turnaround and distressed advisory with exposure to sophisticated finance elements, including debt refinancing, distressed credit, and enforcement strategies. Clients span leading banks, private credit and debt funds, and major corporates operating across energy, mining, commodities, and infrastructure at the multinational level.

Operating with significant client contact and direct partner engagement, you'll take carriage of some matters directly and contribute strategically to some significant case management. Overall, this will suit someone that is motivated by broadening their breadth in complex international commercial structuring.

About you:

  • Bachelor of Laws, strong academics
  • 5–8 years' PQE, ideally after completing a reputed firm rotation program
  • Front-end restructuring and insolvency depth
  • Experience in managing complex transactions with cross-border elements
  • Commercial acumen, at ease engaging with major financial institutions and corporates
