THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking safety and quality- conscious 1st Year Electrical Apprentice to join our Launceston team on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to start your Electrical career with a company that truly cares about its Apprentices. PHE recently won the Apprentice of the Year at the 2025 QLD NECA Awards.

In This Role, You Will

  • Learn how to install cable support systems including cable tray, conduit, catenary, throughout.
  • Assist in installing switchgear, junction boxes, MCCs, transformers, VSDs, lighting, and communications equipment.
  • Observe installation and terminations of High voltage, power, communication, instrument and control cables
  • Be shown correct earthing, bonding of electrical systems across all installations.
  • Learn how to carry out quality checks and basic testing (continuity, insulation resistance) during installation.

About You

  • Willingness to gain knowledge and understanding of the electrical industrial industry
  • Good attention to detail and be punctual and presentable at all times
  • Great communication and mathematical skills
  • Can show initiative to resolve problems
  • Communicate and work effectively in a team environment
  • Be willing to work FIFO or DIDO

The Successful Candidate Will Have

  • General Construction White Card
  • Manual P1-Class Driver's License or above
  • Cert 2 Electrotechnology (desirable)
