Our client is an international flavour company, who prides itself on providing creativity and innovation, quality products, and reliable and flexible service. Reporting to the Quality & Compliance Manager this role is responsible for the following:
- Carry out routine Quality Assurance inspection & testing on incoming raw materials and maintain the records and reference samples for the same.
- Carry out routine Quality Assurance inspection & testing on products produced by the Company and maintain the records & reference samples for the same.
- Evaluate new and alternative raw materials and maintain records & reference samples for the same.
- Undertake projects to investigate quality practices, procedures and problems as required.
- Ensure that Company products are well presented before dispatch.
- Carry out analysis on samples as requested.
- Review new product details & Bill of Material changes.
- Carry out calibration of lab equipment, as per procedures.
- Prepare customer requested documentation to accompany deliveries (eg: C of A, Health Certificate, etc).
- Liaise with suppliers regarding raw material quality issues.
- Prepare reports of Q.A activities on weekly and monthly basis.
- Evaluate aged & non-conforming stock and recommend required action (including rework instructions).
- Conduct responsibilities as set out in the company's Quality & HACCP system procedures.
- Assist Quality Assurance Manager in the preparation of lab procedures & other quality documents, conducting GMP and internal audits as required.
- Undertake other related tasks as required.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques or any science degree, ideally a Bachelor of Science.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Flavour knowledge desired but not essential.
- Maintaining accurate records of experiments and analyses.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to deliver tasks on time and with a high degree of accuracy.
- Demonstrated efficient problem solving and scientific data interpretation abilities.
- A team player with a strong willingness to contribute complete tasks and meet deadlines.
- Interest in gaining knowledge in Food Safety & Quality Management systems are encouraged to apply
