The Opportunity

Bhagwan Marine is looking for an experienced Financial Planning and Analysis Partner (FP&A Partner) based in the Perth CBD office. The successful person will join our finance team to provide financial insights, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead & support the monthly management reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting.

• Develop, manage, and refine short- and long-term financial forecasts, annual budgets, and rolling forecasts in collaboration with departmental stakeholders.

• Build financial models to project future performance based on different scenarios.

• Analyse actual performance vs. budget and forecast, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities in business performance while providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.

• Collaborate with business units to support strategic initiatives and provide financial guidance on operational decisions.

• Build and maintain complex financial models to support scenario analysis, investment decisions, and risk management.

• Support strategic initiatives such as M&A, or capital investments.

• Act as a trusted finance partner across the business. Building strong relationships with executives and managers, helping colleagues interpret reports and use financial tools and communicating financial insights clearly to support their decision-making.

• Conduct detailed cost-benefit analysis for new projects, or process improvements.

• Review and assess financial controls, risk frameworks, and operational effectiveness.

• Continuously improving FP&A processes and systems by identifying opportunities to streamline and automate planning and reporting workflows, implementing best practices within the finance function and championing data accuracy across all financial platforms.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

• Qualified CPA/CA or equivalent.

• 8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or related areas.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.

• Strong financial modeling and Excel skills.

• BI & data tools experience required.

• Corporate Finance background with significant ASX exposure.

• Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred.
