About You

You are currently studying or a recently trained nurse or exercise physiologist who is eager to join a fast-paced team and learn about occupational health. You will need to appreciate the importance of customer service and managing customer expectations as well as the need to deliver quality, timely health services to clients, meeting SLA's while enhancing employee engagement and productivity. You are down to earth, and value respect, teamwork and being accountable.

The Role

We are looking for a studying or recently-trained Nurse or Exercise Physiologist to join the Jem Health team as a Screener and Occupational Health Assessor (OHA) on a permanent full-time or part-time basis, for immediate start. We are looking for individuals who can work 3-4 days per week at our Belmont and Jandakot clinics, or full-time (5 days per week) at our Kinross clinic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct medical assessments including audiometry, spirometry, drug testing, fitness assessments .
  • Support the team of RN's and Occupational Physicians.
  • Administer health checks, maintain stock/equipment, and support wellness initiatives.
  • Contribute to the successful operation of the clinics.
  • Maintain a strong safety culture.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Currently studying or completed a bachelor's degree in health science (Nursing) or similar
  • Registration with AHPRA (Nurses) or ESSA (Physiotherapists/Exercise Physiologists)
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Availability to work across Perth metro area
  • Fast learner, agile and flexible
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
