Department for Infrastructure and Transport
Job reference: 703458
Location: ADELAIDE
Job status: Long Term Contract
Eligibility: Open to Everyone
At the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, we are connecting South Australia to keep our State moving. We are responsible for delivering a multi-billion-dollar pipeline of transformative transport and social infrastructure projects, operating and maintaining thousands of kilometres of roads and managing our city's public transport network.
Our work encompasses every part of our State; from our cities to our regions, connecting and strengthening community. We value diversity and inclusion and foster an environment of collaboration, flexibility, and support for our people.
The Opportunity
Join our Driver Licensing Standards team and help improve road safety across South Australia.
As a Government Examiner, you'll carry out practical driving assessments for licence applicants, including motor driving instructors and heavy vehicle drivers. You'll have experience in delivering training or conducting assessments in driving instruction or related areas. You can give clear instructions and feedback, make fair and consistent decisions, and manage applicants with professionalism — even in challenging situations.
You're adaptable, reliable, and work well independently or as part of a team. Most importantly, you're committed to road safety, integrity, and ethical practice.
If this sounds like you, we'd love for you to apply and help make a real difference in our community.
