ARC Disability Services Inc. is a community-based organisation with a long history in the Cairns and Far North, supporting children and adults who have a disability, their families and support networks.
- Permanent / Part-time / Casual
- Sleepovers and active nights included
- Multiple positions
- S.C.H.A.D.S. Industry Award – Level 2

- Location based South of Cairns
- Varied positions requiring sleepovers, active overnight, day and weekend shifts.
- Everyday rewarding opportunities to provide P.E.G, personal care, manual handing activities, mealtime and medication assistance.

We're actively seeking passionate Disability Support Workers across all career stages, whether you're stepping into the field as a recent graduate or come with years of experience. If you're driven by the desire to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities and are committed to a person-centered approach, we invite you to explore opportunities within our team.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders and identify solutions
- High standards of ethical behaviour, disability knowledge and transferrable people/support experience
- Ability to work independently and as a team, multi-task, time manage
- Good literacy and numeracy level of competence, able to complete legal records such as case notes, emails, online software
- Experience in performing daily living skills such as budgeting, menu planning, shopping, and other domestic tasks to a high standard
- High level of communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal
- Good physical conditions to assist with personal care, transport and transfers, and safely support daily living activities
- Working with Children (Blue Card) and Disability Services (Yellow Card) and a Right to Work within Australia
- Undertake pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Current Queensland Drivers Licence
- Adherence to relevant vaccination requirements
- Right to Work in Australia
