Role Title:

Commercial Officer

Role Description:

Seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Defence Commercial Officer to the Commercial Manager.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to:

• Provide advice, assistance and commercial services to the Branch Executive on Commonwealth procurement policy, procedure and processes.

• Support the development of strategic and commercially sensitive procurement related documentation; including templates, schedules, correspondence, reports, submissions, plans and strategies, risk and performance reviews, contract change proposals and other contract management documentation.

• Support procurement planning, development of commercial documentation such as Tender documents, Section 23s, Endorsement to Proceed, Decision Briefs and contract formation

• Assist in the development, delivery and maintenance of contract management plans, performance frameworks, compliance tools and other contract administration processes

• Provide contract management and administration including contract phase in/out, documentation updates, contract change proposals, risk identification and mitigation, stakeholder communication, performance reviews, audits, and reports.

• Assist in the conduct training for Defence personnel in relation to procurement methodologies, contracting options and tender development.

Essential Requirements:

- Bachelor degree in either Law/Commerce/Business/Finance/ Supply Chain Management.

- Must have Defence ASDEFCON and Procurement experience

- Minimum 5 years experience in Defence projects or Commercial/Contract roles

- Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen

- Negative Vetted One (NV1) Security Clearance
