Assistant Retail Manager – Crystal Brook

About Us

Perrys Fuel Distributors was established in 1949 and has been family owned and operated since its establishment, from our head office based in Crystal Brook. We currently own, operate or supply over eighty five retail sites from where our customers can purchase fuel with a fleet of delivery vehicles and a number of regional fuel depots.

We are the largest independently owned fuel distribution company in South Australia.

The Role

Reporting to the Retail Manager, your role will be to support them in:

  • Stock control
  • Driving sales while controlling store expenses and losses;
  • Managing and leading multiple teams;
  • Managing stock, merchandise and suppliers;
  • Planning and implementing change; and
  • Recruitment and retention of new and existing retail staff.

You will also be required to support members of the management team on projects within the business and travel to all of our retail sites will be required.

The successful candidate will be required to participate in the on-call roster.

The successful applicant will need to possess a strong work ethic, can-do attitude and demonstrate initiative to deliver outcomes. As no two days are the same, so you'll need to be comfortable with change and resilient to deal with challenges as they arise. Ideally you will possess the following experience, characteristics and skills:

  • Experience leading people;
  • Experience in a similar role;
  • Demonstrated high level customer service principles and practices;
  • Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel);
  • Ability to create reports, analyse & interpret data;
  • Well organised and able to prioritise tasks;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal); and
  • Problem-solving, resilient and resourceful.
  • Experienced in multi-site operations
