We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Nominated Supervisor & Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at Topirum Primary School Kindergarten.

Our beautiful kindergarten at Topirum Primary School Kindergarten, is located on the site of Topirum Primary School at the heart of our vibrant, growing community in Casey. Our dynamic 3- and 4-year-old kindergarten programs foster curiosity and creativity in a nurturing and intimate environment. Topirum (pronounced top-pur-um) is a Bunurong word meaning star.

This Early Childhood Teaching position will see you working with our wonderful 4YO Wattlebird Group, commencing in January 2025, with the following roster:
Monday: 8:30am – 11:30am
Tuesday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Wednesday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Thursday: 8:30am – 1:45pm
Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
This will be a total of 33.75 hours.

In addition to your teaching hours, you'll also have dedicated service leadership time to support you in fulfilling your responsibilities as Nominated Supervisor—ensuring you have the space and time to lead effectively and make a meaningful impact within the team and community.

This is a dynamic leadership opportunity where you will inspire and drive the educational program and practices through mentoring and providing professional development to Educators. Leading a team of 13, you will be responsible for creating a workplace with high standards that supports the operations of staff and compliance and supports the education of children.

You have exceptional knowledge of the child safe standards, early childhood regulations and frameworks. Bachelor in Early Childhood Education or equivalent, WWCC/VIT, mandatory reporting certificate, police check and a first aid certificate. 

About the role

You'll build strong collaborative relationships with parents, families, educators and the local community to provide an inclusive and enriching play-based learning program for children. 
You'll lead and support a team of educators by coaching to improve practice and values-driven behaviour. 
You'll motivate and inspire positive learning culture. 
You'll create a supportive environment where children are safeguarded to learn and grow. 
You'll develop and implement engaging learning experiences based on the ECMS pedagogical framework. 
You'll contribute to a child safe environment ensuring standards are met on a daily basis.
