Our Federal Government client is seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP Security & Infrastructure Engineer to support a complex, mission-critical ERP environment operating across multiple networks and cloud platforms. This role sits within a large enterprise digital services function and focuses on securing SAP systems in hybrid and cloud-based environments.

You will play a key role in protecting SAP ECC and S/4HANA landscapes, managing identity and access integrations, and ensuring compliance with Australian Government security standards. This is a hands-on senior role requiring deep technical expertise and the ability to operate confidently in a high-assurance environment.

To be successful you must:

  • Administer and troubleshoot identity management systems including SAP, SAP IDM, Azure AD, and Microsoft Identity Manager
  • Manage secure identity provisioning and de-provisioning across SAP landscapes
  • Implement and maintain secure authentication frameworks (SAML 2.0, OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SCIM)
  • Configure and manage SAP Access Control, including HR triggers and User Access Reviews (UAR)
  • Design and enforce risk-based authentication and authorisation policies
  • Integrate multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions with SAP systems
  • Monitor and mitigate security threats including RFC connections, dormant/orphaned accounts, and privilege misuse
  • Configure and maintain SAP UI Logging and UI Masking for sensitive data protection
  • Lead investigation and response to security incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation documentation
  • Support Authority to Operate (ATO) activities, penetration testing, and IRAP assessments
  • Provide operational support during major incidents
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams on integrations, upgrades, and disaster recovery planning
  • Mentor team members, uplift security capability, and contribute to documentation and best practices

To be considered you must:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 10+ years' experience in SAP security or SAP cyber security-focused roles
  • Strong experience securing SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments

  • Demonstrated expertise in:

  • SAP Cloud Identity Services and SAP BTP security

  • SAP IDM
  • SAP Access Control
  • SAP Enterprise Threat Detection
  • SU25 and role migration from ECC to S/4HANA
  • SAP UI Logging and UI Masking
  • SIEM tools and incident response
  • Proven experience managing hybrid SAP environments (on-prem + cloud)

  • Strong understanding of Australian Government security and compliance frameworks including:

  • ISM

  • PSPF
  • IRAP
  • ANAO
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations (configuration, integration, data migration) highly regarded
