We're not looking for a beginner, rather need someone who can get in and started right away with minimal to no supervision.

A minimum of 2-3 years of manual machining experience is required.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a competent, reliable Manual Machinist to join our expanding team, based in Naval Base, WA.

You will be required to work well within a team environment as well as autonomously completing assigned work scopes.

This is a long-term permanent full-time opportunity to work in a well-established and growing company. Preference will be given to candidates that can start immediately.

An attractive pay rate will be negotiated based on experience.

Develop your skillset even further, with on-the-job additional training available to you. The sky is the limit.

Your Skills and Qualifications

You would be expected to:

  • Read and interpret drawings of various detail.
  • Have the ability to utilise measuring equipment, achieving quality output.
  • Have the ability to operate manual lathes, bores and milling machines.
  • Undertake any given project according to Q.A requirements.
  • Have fitting experience including hydraulics.
  • Advanced fitting experience is required for this position.
  • Be willing to assist in apprentice training and supervision as required.
  • Be a confident tradesperson with a good understanding of industry requirements.
  • Have an excellent understanding of general machining practices.

Essential:

  • Own transport and hold a current C Class WA driver's license.
  • Permanent Australian Residency
  • A Relevant Trade Certificate.
  • Any recognised machining trade certificate is required.
  • White card, EWP, Working at Heights.
  • Pass site health and drug tests.
