We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Civil/Water Design Engineer to join our team in either Perth, Newcastle, Melbourne or Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and rewarding projects, contributing to the development and maintenance of essential water infrastructure in the region.

AIE is a dynamic, family and employee-owned engineering consultancy with a passion for delivering real-world solutions. We're seeking a skilled senior civil/water design engineer with new and remediation design experience to join our team.
Role Details:
- Duration: Full Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of civil and water infrastructure designers to deliver high quality projects, from concept to commissioning.
- Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct site investigations and assessments.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and senior design engineers.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum +20 years of experience in civil/water design engineering.
- Proven experience in the design of water infrastructure projects.
- Strong preference for experience working with water utilities across Australia such as Sydney Water, Melbourne Water, South East Water, Lower Murray Water, Water Corporation of WA, etc.
- Excellent knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WaterGEMS, OpenRoads Designer, etc).
- Proficiency in MS Office software (e.g., Excel, Word, Project, Teams, etc).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status is highly desirable.
