• MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Successful completion of the examination process for RANZCOG and currently having completed core training.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a complex clinical environment, excellent clinical skills and judgment together with teamwork, time management and problem solving skills in the clinical settings and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with the administrative requirements and day to day running of a tertiary Women's Health Service and its interaction with networked units.
• Experience and willingness to teach junior medical staff/medical students and midwives, and a commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management. Preparedness and ability to work independently in a supervised environment.
• Prepared to participate in after hours and on-call work as required.
• Ability to move between services and geographical locations to deliver patient care.
• Knowledge of relevant NSW Health policy.
