About the role

Are you passionate about technology and teamwork, and eager to make a positive impact on Australia's energy future? We're looking for a collaborative, detail-oriented individual to join us as a Systems and Networks Technology Engineer, where you'll be at the heart of supporting AGL's Operational Networks and OT (Operational Technology) Infrastructure. This exciting role is based full-time at Loy Yang Power Station, with opportunities to contribute to our growing renewables fleet.

What you'll be doing

  • Empowering Network Support: Lead initiatives to continuously improve network services and capabilities, ensuring seamless connectivity and functionality across our critical infrastructure.
  • Championing Server Management: Support the configuration of operating systems and applications on Operational Network servers, ensuring smooth operations and performance.
  • Enhancing Security: Collaborate on projects that uplift cybersecurity for our OT assets, contributing to a safer, more secure operational environment.
  • Managing Change with Care: Take charge of system outage scheduling, working closely with AGL IT and generation teams to minimise disruptions while maintaining efficiency.

What you'll bring to the table

  • Knowledge in networking, Microsoft systems, Virtualization, Storage, Firewalls and IT security.
  • Build relationships through creating meaningful connections with both internal and external stakeholders, understanding their needs and finding ways to enhance our processes.

  • Problem solving mindset and being proactive in planning for future needs, ensuring continuous improvement in everything you do.
