Your New Role

A rare opportunity to join the Systematic Equities team at one of Australia's leading superannuation funds, as a Quantitative Analyst. Apply your quantitative research skills to enhance investment strategies and portfolio management in a collegiate and high performing team, where you'll work closely with portfolio managers and data teams, contributing to the ongoing success of a direct investment portfolio spanning Australian and international equities.

• Conduct quantitative research on global and domestic equities, integrating findings into internally managed portfolios.
• Develop tools and analysis for equity returns and risk, supporting both systematic portfolios and the broader equities group.
• Assist portfolio managers with trade reviews, portfolio performance, and oversight of exposures and risk attributes.
• Support investment reporting, performance and risk attribution, and stakeholder communications.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to implement and review portfolio positions, supporting rebalancing and trading activity.

How do you exceed our expectations?

• Tertiary qualifications in a quantitative discipline (mathematics, physics, engineering), finance, or actuarial studies.
• Experience in quantitative investment research or data science, ideally within equities.
• Strong programming skills in R, Matlab, Python, or similar, plus data transformation and automation skills (SQL, Python, Powershell).
• Demonstrated research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Innovative, results-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes in a collaborative environment.
• You are balanced in accepting risk in any decision you face. You are curious to understand risk context and choose to speak up as we simplify, learn and grow.
