We are looking for a full-time Accounts Clerk to join our team and support essential accounting functions across the business. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks at once, and excellent communication skills. You'll be confident in building rapport with key suppliers, contractors, and internal teams.
We're a close-knit team who work hard but also know how to have fun, so we're looking for someone who shares the same positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include (but not limited to):-
- Reconcile, process and pay supplier and trade invoices
 - Liaise with suppliers, trade or our internal departments to address invoice variances and disputes
 - Prepare and process claim schedules and claim payments for customers and liaise with their financial institution, where required.
 - Reconcile deposits and or other payments like customer claim payments for each job.
 - Assist with daily bank account reconciliations, including company credit cards.
 - Administer and process weekly payroll and other payroll requirements such as superannuation, WorkCover
 - Attend to months-end reconciliations of the general ledger/balance sheet accounts and inter-company accounts.
 - Preparation and lodgement of monthly IAS and quarterly BAS
 - Check supplier invoices against purchase orders, contracts, and supply agreements to validate for processing
 - Ensuring that all supplier account enquiries, and correspondence are handled in a professional and timely manner
 - Undertake credit checks for new trade and suppliers
 - Establish new accounts with suppliers, where instructed by the business.
 
The successful candidate should possess:
- Previous accounts or admin experience
 - Experience with XERO accounting software is mandatory
 - Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
 - Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
 - Highly organised and excellent time management skills
 - The ability to work autonomously as well as within a high performance team
