About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join our Fixed Income & Markets team. This role is instrumental in supporting the implementation of our Fixed Income function, with a strong focus on credit analysis, transaction facilitation, and strategic contribution to our asset management capabilities.
As the primary desk-based credit analyst, you will play a key role in facilitating fixed income & lending transactions across internal discretionary funds and client-managed portfolios. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining financial models, preparing high-quality credit papers, and presenting investment ideas and analysis to both internal stakeholders and external clients—including senior leadership and prospective investors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing internal and external fixed income facilitation as relates to credit work
- Providing new issuance deal analysis, new issue notifications and managing counterparty relationships
- Analytical and operational support on fixed income products under management (Managed & Tailored Portfolios)
- Analytical support for retail and wholesale client base (including IFAs and SDAs)
- Analytical support for multi-asset portfolios (Foundation ETF portfolios)
- Active engagement in daily morning meeting when required
- Provide support for Fixed Income and Foundation multi-asset performance reports as required.
- Provide support to PowerPoint pitch deck preparation where required
- Work with Head of Fixed Income and Markets to support Fixed Income strategy, including project work as and when required
Required Skills, Knowledge and Attributes:
- 4-5+ years' experience in financial markets, particularly credit analysis for fixed income and/or lending, either in investment management or fixed income sell side
- General understanding of the Australian credit market, as well as broader financial market related concepts. An understanding of global credit also beneficial, although not required.
- Client relationship management
- Advanced Excel skills, some experience with Bloomberg preferred.
- Intermediate Word, PowerPoint skills, not required but favourable, willingness to learn

Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Economics (or related field), or quantitative degree with interest in financial markets
- CFA designation (is not a prerequisite, however would be looked at favourably)
- RG 146 understanding
