Village Manager – 8:6 Roster

Iconic Catering is seeking a hands-on leader to manage daily operations at our remote village and mine site, ensuring an exceptional experience for up to 200 residents.

The Role

As a Village Manager, you will oversee all aspects of village operations, including catering, accommodation, and site services, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with contractual obligations. Your key responsibilities will include:

·       Leading and motivating a team of chefs, bus drivers/utilities, and housekeeping staff

·       Ensuring high-quality food and accommodation services

·       Managing budgets, financial reporting, and compliance requirements

·       Maintaining HSEQ and HR standards across the site

·       Providing hands-on support to the team

·       Fostering a positive team culture and exceptional customer service

·       Managing rosters and schedules

·       Liaising with the Operations Manager and Head Office regarding village operations

·       Coordinating with clients on the site

·       Conducting daily pre-start meetings and reporting

·       Planning and coordinating site events

To Be Successful, You Will Have:

Essential:

  • Must be a qualified chef to qualify for this role
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new systems
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Village Manager in the hospitality or mining industry.
  • Passion for food and hospitality
  • Strong data management and reporting skills
  • Commitment to safety and providing a positive working environment
  • Australian citizenship or full working rights
  • Valid WA Driver's Licence
  • National Police Clearance (within 3 months of application)
  • Ability to pass a medical and drug screening
  • Food Safety / HACCP certification
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
  • Ability to obtain a WA Approved Manager's Licence
  • White Card
  • Ability to safely perform manual handling tasks

Desired:

  • Experience with Peoples Tray, Pronto, and Xero software
  • Forklift Licence
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • 4WD Certificate
  • Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011 – within 3 years)
