Staff Software Engineer

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will drive continuous improvement across iOS and Android engineering practices, while shaping the platform architecture and roadmap for both mobile and backend systems. You'll collaborate closely with product owners and fellow technical leaders to document changes and steer strategic initiatives. Your expertise will be key in making critical design and architectural decisions, mentoring engineers to produce well-tested, maintainable code, and enhancing solution quality through industry best practices.

As a hands-on technology leader with mobile experience, you will be working with a team of engineers who will be designing & implementing solutions as well as influencing your Value streams tech leads , Product Owner & Crew Tech lead. Being product aligned and customer obsessed, you'll own what you build (full cycle engineering model) and will be working in the latest technologies and frameworks.

• Are passionate about developing robust mobile applications and accompanying backend infrastructure for large user communities.
• Have full-cycle engineering experience: ideation, technical design, build, testing (unit, integration, system, NFT), release, and maintenance.
• Are comfortable in providing high-level designs and technical leadership for squads.
• Demonstrate an understanding of business and technical strategies to deliver optimal outcomes.
• Pride themselves in championing engineering standards and educating peers.

Technical Skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;

• Proven experience developing secure, accessible native iOS applications using Swift, Backend using .Net/C# and Android using Kotlin/Java
• Experience with SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, Human Interface Guidelines, and modularisation.
• Strong knowledge of architecture patterns, concurrency, scaleability and accessibility.
• Experience designing and building feature-based mobile solutions and backend infrastructure.
• Experience monitoring app health, crashes, and logs (AppD, Firebase distribution, AppDynamics, Splunk).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Teamcity enterprise, Artifactory enterprise, GitHub, GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of public cloud and backend APIs and systems.
• AWS experience including but not limited to ECS, EC2, VPCs, ALBs, IAM, Lambda and API Gateway.
• Interest in developing breadth around building microservices using .NET and C# in AWS and Azure environments.
• Experience with AI/ML, Agentic AI, or the banking domain is a plus.
