Skills And Experiences
Role responsibilities
- Strong experience in Senior Network Engineering concepts and network protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement detailed network designs and diagrams.
- Demonstrated design and implementation experience across all of the following:
- Firewall (Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto)
- Switching (LAN, Campus, Data Centre)
- Wireless Networking (Cisco/Aruba)
- Network monitoring capabilities
- Demonstrated experience in network infrastructure as code deployments (Fortinet, Tenable preferred)
- Demonstrated exposure to cloud networking technologies (MS Azure/AWS).
- Demonstrated technical experience across BGP, OSPF, IPSEC, SD WAN and Data Centre cabling and associated infrastructure.
- Demonstrated technical experience across Routing, Switching, Wireless, SD-WAN, Load balancing, DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management (DDI).
- Capability to resolve escalated BAU related incidents on behalf of customers, seeing them through to resolution.
- Develop and implement technical designs, guides, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation to meet a23 and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client requirements and provide high level support, including technical consultations, demonstrations, and assessments.
- Attend a23 vendor events and training.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in relevant areas and a23 technology partners products.
- Obtain and maintain certifications in vendor products and solutions applicable to one or multiple ICT domains related to Enterprise Networking.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Australian Government Security Clearance maintained at Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1).
- Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Networking or a related discipline.
- Strong experience working across multiple customers and environment simultaneously in a senior capacity.
- Demonstrated expertise in network/systems engineering of at least 5 years.
- Demonstrated experience with popular networking vendors (e.g. Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Dell, Juniper, Palo Alto).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to handle complex customer solutions.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in Presales would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Commitment to maintain relevant professional certifications to enable the delivery of professional services offered by A23.
a23 Policy Handbook and Mandatory Training
On commencing with a23, all employees and subcontractors are provided with the a23 Policy Handbook and asked to acknowledge their understanding and commitment to adhering to its policies. All employees and subcontractors are also assigned a suite of mandatory training that is required to be completed on an annual basis. All a23 workers are to take all reasonable care of their own health and safety and ensure that their actions do not adversely affect the health and safety of others.
