Newpin (New Parent and Infant Network)

As a
Newpin NEST Support Worker
, you will be the heart of our program—providing meaningful, day-to-day support to families facing complex challenges. You'll work side-by-side with our Newpin Coordinator and the wider team to support parents in their journey to healing, growth and reunification.

This role is hands-on, human-centred, and deeply rewarding.

About the Role:

  • Support families to fully participate in the Newpin program
  • Help deliver on case plan goals and support appointments and referrals
  • Provide practical and emotional support, including transport and advocacy
  • Maintain accurate case records to ensure responsive, high-quality care
  • Work collaboratively with other services and professionals
  • Foster cultural safety, respect and inclusiveness for all families, especially Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and culturally and linguistically diverse communities

Your Qualifications & Experience

  • A
    Diploma in Community Services
    (or related field) or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of child protection and trauma impacts
  • Experience working with vulnerable families or children
  • A current driver's license and WWCC/Police Check clearance
  • A strong belief in equity, dignity and every family's potential
  • Empathetic and trauma-informed, with a genuine passion for helping others
  • Committed to social change and child safety
  • Organised, reliable and a strong team player
  • Comfortable navigating complex challenges with sensitivity and professionalism
  • Capable of building trusting, respectful relationships with families and stakeholders
