An experienced Butcher is required to join our team in Narre Warren North IGA. This role involves all aspects of Butchering: slicing, dicing, band-saw work, portion-cutting, mincing, boning, catering/wholesale, beginning of day set-up, end of day clean-up, order preparation and other general miscellaneous duties.

The successful Applicant will have a proven track record of:

  • Managing a Meat Department within a Supermarket;
  • Delivering excellent quality and service standards;
  • Working well in a team environment;
  • Controlling shrinkage;
  • Maintaining a work schedule and rostering that reflects the customers' needs;
  • Controlling ordering and stock to an acceptable level relevant to department sales;
  • Maintaining store pricing and ticketing;
  • Maintaining the appearance and layout of department;
  • Ensuring all cleaning schedules are maintained at standards.
