About the Role
The MYP Coordinator is a key middle leadership role responsible for the coordination, development and implementation of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (Years 7–10).
This role requires a collaborative leader who can inspire staff, engage learners and ensure that the MYP is delivered to the highest standards. The Coordinator will promote innovative practice in curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment while ensuring alignment with IB philosophy and Trinity's Christian ethos.
As a member of the College's pedagogical leadership team, the MYP Coordinator will collaborate with the Head of Secondary, Director of Innovation & Learning, PYP Coordinator, Head of Primary, and other leaders to ensure continuity and excellence across all year levels.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the effective planning, delivery, and evaluation of the MYP.
- Mentor and support staff in curriculum design, assessment, and IB pedagogy.
- Coordinate and prepare for IB authorisation, verification, and evaluation processes.
- Monitor student progress and ensure effective reporting systems are in place.
- Liaise with the International Baccalaureate organisation, Trinity leadership, and families to strengthen programme delivery.
- Promote the philosophy of the IB and the christian ethos of the College within the school community.
- Contribute to the wider life of the College through pastoral care and co-curricular involvement.
Selection Criteria
Applicants are required to submit a written response (no more than two pages) addressing the following four criteria:
- IB Experience – Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the IB MYP and/or PYP, and a commitment to the principles of IB education.
- Pedagogical Leadership – Proven ability to lead curriculum development and support staff in professional growth, including mentoring and modelling effective practice.
- Curriculum Knowledge – Strong expertise in curriculum planning, assessment, and reporting, with the ability to foster engaging and authentic learning experiences.
- Values Alignment – A demonstrated commitment to supporting and modelling the Christian ethos and values of Trinity Lutheran College.
