We are seeking a Casual Service Technician / Machine Operator to join our team at SA Sweepers and Scrubbers. The role involves working with a wide range of commercial and industrial cleaning equipment, including sweepers, scrubbers, and high-speed LPG gas buffers from leading brands such as Nilfisk, Tennant, Hako, and Karcher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and repair a variety of cleaning machines – from small walk-behind units to large ride-on machines.
  • Carry out onsite and workshop-based servicing, including minor and major repairs.
  • Follow service manuals and apply logical troubleshooting to resolve technical issues.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and hardware installations.
  • Perform quality inspections and ensure equipment meets company standards.
  • Keep detailed maintenance records and service reports.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with customers.
  • Review recently serviced equipment to ensure proper performance.
  • Fulfil other duties as required by management.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with cleaning equipment or similar machinery.
  • Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Organised, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be flexible and available at short notice.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Physically fit and capable of operating heavy equipment.
