About The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a Locum Nuclear Medicine/PET Scientist to join a well-respected organisation and broaden their expertise.

Qscan Canberra is looking for a motivated and ambitious Locum Nuclear Medicine/PET Scientist to join our team across our Braddon and University of Canberra locations. Ideally, you will be an experienced professional capable of working independently across both Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT.

You'll be part of a dedicated modality-based team, supported by a wider multi-modality clinic environment. Our clinics are equipped with a Siemens Biograph MCT 64 Flow PET/CT and a Siemens Symbia Intevo Excel gamma camera, offering advanced nuclear medicine imaging capabilities.

This is a full-time locum position, Monday to Friday during standard clinic hours, working across our Braddon (Nuc Med) and University of Canberra (PET-CT) sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • First and foremost, provide compassionate and quality patient care, taking responsibility for patient welfare and confidentiality.
  • Perform a range of Nuclear Medicine/PET procedures, to produce images of the highest diagnostic quality possible.
  • Interpret requests and perform appropriate procedures in accordance with relevant legislation and department policies.
  • Commit to continuous improvement by maintaining current knowledge and upskilling in new techniques/advances.

About You
Alongside your passion for patient-centred care and Nuclear Medicine/PET Scientist qualifications, you will also have:

  • Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and excellent time management skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • A Radiation Use Licence for your state or territory (or the ability to attain one).
  • AHPRA registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
