About the role

We are looking for a Senior Information Technology Support Officer to provide Level 2 and 3 technical support for hardware, software, networks, and devices across the City. Reporting to the Technology Services Coordinator, you will maintain IT infrastructure, support cloud platforms, and contribute to cyber security and digital transformation projects.

This role is perfect for someone with strong technical skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for reliable and secure IT services.

Key responsibilities:

Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, Entra, Identity and Exchange.

  • Maintain servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Support cyber security efforts including patching, endpoint imaging, and compliance with ASD's Information Security Manual.
  • Contribute to projects such as cloud migration, AI integration, and system upgrades.
  • Assist Help Desk to address more complex IT user problems and backfill as required.

You will bring:

  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and cloud platforms.
  • Proven ability to manage servers, networks, and endpoint devices securely.
  • Familiarity with cyber security frameworks, especially ASD's ISM.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A minimum of 3–5 years' experience in IT support, ideally gained within government or large organisations.
  • A current National Police Certificate and a 'C' class Driver's Licence.

What we offer

This full-time, contract position (until 31 July 2026) offers a cash salary of $84,739 - $98,574 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, plus superannuation.
