The Role
We're seeking an experienced and hands-on Factory Foreman to oversee our workshop operations and lead a small team of skilled cabinet makers. You'll be responsible for ensuring production schedules are met, maintaining exceptional quality standards, and fostering a positive and efficient team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of cabinet makers and factory staff
- Manage workflow to ensure projects meet deadlines and quality expectations
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the manufacturing process
- Read and interpret technical drawings and plans
- Liaise with project managers and installers to ensure seamless production and delivery
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment
- Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to team members
About You
- Proven experience in a foreman or leading hand role within a shopfitting or joinery environment
- Strong knowledge of cabinet making, joinery processes, and materials
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a small team effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
