WesTrac is seeking experienced Plant Mechanics to join their team based at our customer site at Lake Cowal.

As a Plant Mechanic, you'll be responsible for overhauling a variety of open-cut mining equipment, from 789 Off-Highway Trucks to D10 Dozers and more. With a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and safety, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining CAT equipment for our clients.

Roster & Remuneration

  • 14D14O 14N14O (14 days on, 14 days off, 14 nights on, 14 nights off)
  • Shift times: 05:30AM – 19:00PM / 17:30PM – 07:00AM
  • One hour of travel paid each day
  • Potential earnings from $118,000 - $140,000 + super

Skills & Experience

  • Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Qualifications + Certificate of Proficiency (Cert III Mobile Plant Technology, Cert III Agricultural Mechanical Technology, Cert III Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology)
  • Proven experience in a similar role, machine overhaul experience essential
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment
  • Forklift, Overhead Crane + Rigging or Dogging tickets highly regarded
  • Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety and the environment
  • Ability to work autonomously
