About the Role

Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for cleanliness, team development, and guest satisfaction? Join our team at K'gari Beach Resort and take charge of our Housekeeping Department, ensuring our accommodation areas are sparkling clean and welcoming for every guest. As our Housekeeping Manager, you'll lead a dedicated team to deliver fast, efficient, and high-quality room turnarounds. You'll be responsible for staffing, training, rostering, and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and presentation across the resort.

This is a permanent live-on island position.

Key Role Responsibilities

• Undertaking workforce management, administration, rostering and operational service of the entire housekeeping department.
• Approving and managing timesheets, conducting one on ones and probationary reviews.
• Supervise and perform various cleaning duties of Hotel Rooms and Apartments in compliance to resort standards
• Monitor and maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms and provide necessary training to staff to ensure standards are met
• Supervise and provide mentorship to Supervisors & Team Leaders
• Monitor as required the disposal of laundry and garbage and recycle items where necessary
• Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to, including compliance of maintenance and HSE reporting.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a hotel operational and supervisory role in a similar environment and meticulous attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team and create a close team environment
• Previous hotel or resort cleaning experience
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise and organise multiple tasks with a commitment to deliver results
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Proven ability to work under pressure and resolve problems
• Experience in motivating team members to achieve targets and outcomes
