About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team at AMBER TILES Forster, NSW location. This part-time position will involve assisting customers with their flooring and home furnishing needs and supporting the overall operations of the store.

What you'll be doing

• Providing excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers, answering questions, and helping them find the perfect products for their needs
• Demonstrating flooring and home furnishing products and advising customers on selection, pricing, and installation options
• Maintaining the store's appearance and organization, including restocking shelves and displays
• Processing sales transactions and handling cash and payments accurately
• Supporting the store manager with administrative tasks as required
• Assisting customers in selecting tiles, bathware, and renovation products
• Delivering expert advice and exceptional in-store service
• Collaborating with homeowners, architects, and interior designers
• Maintaining showroom presentation and visual merchandising
• Handling admin tasks like phone calls, data entry, and order processing

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service role, preferably in the home furnishings or flooring industry
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with and assist customers
• Excellent product knowledge or a willingness to learn about our product range
• Keen attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work weekends and evenings as required
• 2-3 days per week 9-4pm and rotating fortnightly Saturdays 9-12pm
