About Us
Polar AC started out specialising in professional aircon cleaning across Darwin and has built a strong name for quality and reliability. We're now taking the next step — rebranding as Polar AC Pty Ltd and growing into a full air-conditioning and refrigeration business, covering residential installs, repairs and light commercial work.
This isn't a cleaning position. Your focus will be on the technical and supervisory side as we build the new service division.
The Role
We're looking for a qualified Refrigeration / Air Conditioning Technician to help lead this next stage of growth.
You'll be stepping into a hands-on role with extra responsibility as:
- Supervisor for our apprentice, and
- ARCtick Responsible Officer for the company.
It's an opportunity to get in early and have a real say in how things are done as we expand.
What We Offer
- $110,000–$120,000 per year, depending on experience
- Profit sharing after probation, starting at 5% in 2026 and increasing annually over 4 years up to 20%
- Annual payout every 31 December
- Company van and all major refrigerant equipment supplied
- Clear path toward a future management position as the team grows

Key Duties
- Supervise and train an apprentice
- Maintain WHS and ARCtick compliance records
- Install, service and repair all air conditioner types
- Occasional light commercial refrigeration work
What You'll Need
- Cert III in Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration (minimum 2 years' experience post-trade)
- Current ARCtick licence
- Driver's licence and White Card
- Good customer communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable and motivated attitude
Preferred but not essential
- Own power tools (allowance negotiable)
