Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Paediatric Allergist/Immunologist to join the Paediatric department.

Services are provided through our five main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, Mernda Community Hospital and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.
About the Role:
Northern Health is excited to invite applications for the position of Paediatric Allergist/Immunologist. This role will contribute to the development of paediatric allergy services across Northern Health and provide specialist care for children and adolescents with allergic conditions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the Paediatric Allergy outreach clinics based at Mernda Community Hospital
- Supervision and training of junior medical staff (including advanced paediatric/community registrars)
- Providing direct and indirect supervision for the Paediatric registrar and Allergy Nurse
- Contributing to case discussions and multidisciplinary meetings
- Liaising with internal and external stake holders regarding factors that impact on the care of children attending the paediatric allergy clinics at Northern
- Support academic, research, education, training & supervision in the Unit
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Undergraduate medical qualification as a first degree is essential – MBBS, MD, PhD or equivalent
- A fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (or equivalent)
