About the Role:
We are seeking a meticulous and passionate Bookkeeper to join our Head Office team in the vibrant Chapel Street area of South Yarra. Reporting directly to the Head of Accounts and Finance, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the financial health of our growing company. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work with a diverse team and contribute to our global operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry: Ensure accurate invoicing through precise data entry.
- Accounts Receivable & Payable: Handle full-function accounts, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Financial Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Month-End Processing: Reconcile financial statements, manage month-end processes, and generate detailed reports.
- Costing, Budgeting & Analysis: Assist in costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
- GST & BAS Preparation: Handle the preparation and submission of GST and BAS statements.
- Liaison with External Accountant: Coordinate with external tax accountants for compliance and financial reporting.
- Expense Management: Manage employee expense reimbursements efficiently.
- General Administration: Perform general administrative tasks as required to support the finance team.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper with a minimum of 1 year in the role.
- Proficiency in MYOB and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant qualification in Accounting or Finance, with a minimum of Cert IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or a
- Diploma in Accounting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Additional Requirements:
- Legal right to work in Australia is essential.
- Prior experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and customer service is advantageous.
