Xtreme Engineering is seeking a Graduate / Undergraduate Accountant to join our team in Gladstone with travel to project sites located in Central Queensland and Interstate required. You will be part of our diverse, dynamic, and fast-paced accounting team where we work towards delivering management reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, preparation of taxes and much more.

Undergraduates in their last year of study are encouraged to apply.

Key role deliverables:

· Apply accounting skills and knowledge to reconcile accounts and produce financial reports;

· Calculate general & project journal corrections in both ledgers;

· Month end tasks including; updating project forecasts, processing allocation, and depreciation journals

· Project accounting including; analysing, cashflow, project costs & revenue variances

· Assist with the preparation of taxes including; FBT, payroll tax and BAS;

· Maintain the fixed asset register

· Assist with overhead department quarterly reviews

· Assist with the 5YP planning process

What you bring to the role:

The successful candidate will have qualifications in Finance or Business working towards CPA/CA qualifications or in the final years of their university study.
They should possess excellent communication, interpersonal, team oriented, and negotiation skills, along with highly developed relationship-building abilities to allow them to work effectively with Project Managers, Project Administrators, Corporate Administration and Finance Manager. The candidate must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills with strong numerical and verbal reasoning abilities. They should exhibit drive, innovation, be assertive and results-focused.
