Spray Painter

The Company

Our client is one of the largest Australian owned distributors of construction equipment with a national dealer network boasting over 20 branches Australia wide providing new and used sales as well as machinery hire to the construction, mining and forestry industries. They are authorised dealers for over 10 major OEM brands including ASV Posi-Track, JCB, XCMG, Develon and Fecon stocking a wide range of machinery including excavators, loaders, skid steers, material handling and graders.

Due to significant national growth, they are seeking to appoint a Spray Painter & Detailer to join their high caliber team based in Newcastle.

The Role

Our client sells, maintains and hires a large range of machinery, all of which is distributed, sold and maintained in-house across their dealership network and distribution centre. You will be responsible for preparing, painting and detailing new and used machinery, components and fabricated items from various makes and models of equipment delivering high quality presentation to their customers.

The Candidate

Ideally our client would like to secure an experienced Automotive or Industrial Spray Painter with the following attributes:

• Relevant Trade Qualification preferred but not essential
• Minimum 2 years previous experience painting machinery
• Ability to fit decals and final detailing of machines prior to delivery
• Attention to detail and take pride in work
• Reliable and hardworking team player
• Valid NSW driver's license
• Forklift ticket preferred but not essential

Other Responsibilities

• Dedicated attitude to safety and quality
• Ensure all paint work complies with safety and environmental regulations
• Maintain and clean painting equipment and work areas to ensure efficient and safe operations

Experience or willingness to assist in the following areas would also be an advantage:

• Loading and unloading machines for transport in accordance with CoR regulations
• Conducting cyclic condition checks on stock machines in yard
• Safely moving equipment and vehicles around the yard
• Assisting in setting up of machinery field and demonstration days

Remuneration

Depending on experience, the following pay rates are on offer:

• $35 - $45 per hour + overtime
• • Super
• Mon – Fri 7:30am – 4pm
• Occasional overtime and weekend work required
