About the Role

This role reports to the Senior Finance Manager. This is a fixed-term contract position focused on conducting an intensive balance sheet remediation project across our intermediated insurance operations.

Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Conduct comprehensive analysis and reconciliation of inter-partner accounts, inter-company accounts and capital accounts across all cost centres and subsidiaries
• Analyse and clean up balance sheet reconciliations for internal reinsurance transactions across different cost centres within the Intermediated portfolios.
• Perform systematic remediation of balance sheet accounts related to runoff agency partners.
• Reconcile and document legacy balances, investigate long outstanding reconciling items, and close off dormant partner accounts where possible.
• Conduct detailed analysis of debtor balances, commission positions, and reinsurance-related accounts for active agency partners.
• Assist with month-end accounting processes as required, including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Document remediation activities, key findings, and recommended ongoing controls to ensure sustainable improvements.

About You

• 7+ years of work experience preferably in the financial service sector.
• CA/ CPA qualified
• General Insurance industry experiences essential
• Strong financial management and accounting skills
• Relevant work experience in the general insurance sector including exposure to actuarial valuation principles, reinsurance, etc.
• Relevant experience of accounting treatments for foreign currency transactions, including exchange rate recognition and conversion.
• Clear understanding of corporate objectives, guidelines, and the philosophy of the company
