Adnought has progressed to become one of the largest metal manufacturers in Central Queensland today. Now boasting two workshops extensively equipped with modern machinery, we also maintain the capability and equipment for onsite construction and installation work.
Our expertise extends to all types of metal fabrication, from the safe design and development of sheet metal, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, and general steel, to the manufacture and installation of stainless steel commercial and industrial kitchens, marine fabrication and repairs, structural steel fabrication/erection and equipment repairs for the mining industry.
Job tasks and responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced workshop foreman to join our boilermaking / structual steel fabrication team. This is a hands-on leadership role, overseeing day-to-day workshop operations & ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time & to the highest quality standard.
This position will be based in our North Rockhampton workshop & will be a minimum of 40 hours a week Monday to Friday + overtime is also offered.
*** KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ***
- Supervise & lead boilermakers, welders & apprentices in the workshop
- Coordinate daily fabrication schedules, workflows & dispatch deadlines
- Ensure all work is carried out to drawings, specificaitons & quality standads
- Liaise with management & customers when required
- Ensure safe, efficent & professional work practices
*** MUST HAVES / ABOUT YOU ***
- Trade qualification boilermaking with solid fabrication experience
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in fabrication workshop
- Ability to read & interpret workshop drawings
- Current LF Forklift Licence
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Strong safety focus, reliablity & punctuality
- Strong organisational & time management skills
- High level of accurary & attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
