Totally Workwear Gilles Plains is a successful, locally owned family business and part of a national franchise network with over 85 stores. We specialise in workwear, safety gear, and corporate uniforms, proudly stocking trusted Australian brands like King Gee, Hard Yakka, Steel Blue, and Blundstone.

We're currently seeking a full-time Retail Assistant who brings reliability, initiative, and strong attention to detail. This is more than a retail role—this is a chance to become a valued member of a small, supportive team where your input shapes daily operations.

What You'll Do:

Precision Matters - You'll take pride in accuracy—from making sure products are shelved correctly, to checking order details and catching the small things before they become issues.

Be Proactive - We're looking for someone who spots problems before they arise, takes initiative to improve processes, and isn't afraid to pitch in wherever needed.

Real Responsibility - You'll get hands-on with stock control, visual merchandising, customer orders, and general store operations. You won't just sell products—you'll help run the shop.

More Than Just a Number - You'll work closely with the business owners and a small team that values commitment, integrity, and shared success.

Customer-Focused Thinking - Our customers expect informed, practical advice—not just transactions. You'll learn about our products and offer thoughtful solutions, not just scan barcodes.

What You Bring:

  • Experience using retail POS and EFTPOS systems
  • Basic computer literacy (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation
  • A proactive mindset with problem-solving ability
  • A team-first attitude with a willingness to learn

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm or 8am–4pm (depending on roster)
  • Every second or third Saturday, 9am–2pm (with a weekday RDO for each Saturday worked)
  • No work required on Sundays, nights or public holidays

Please note: Only applicants who can commit to the Saturday rotation will be considered.
