Graduate Accountant

Since opening in 1988, Westpoint Autos has become one of Brisbane's most prominent car dealerships, with franchises including Nissan, Hyundai, Isuzu UTE, Suzuki, Mahindra, SsangYong, LDV, Haval and GWM as well as one of the largest used car operations in south-east Queensland. Our dealerships are located at Indooroopilly, Moorooka, Springwood, Browns Plains, Hillcrest and Beaudesert.

To further assist our Corporate Administration team we eagerly seek a self-motivated and career-oriented Accounting Graduate or Accounting Student to commence a rewarding Dealership Accounting career in the Automotive industry.  This will be an offer of on-going, stable employment working Monday to Friday with the option of part-time or full-time and flexibility to suit both your study and our workload needs.

This role requires the successful candidate to be hands-on and flexible in developing their skills to perform:

• General bookkeeping, administration and ad-hoc secretarial duties
• Vehicle deal processing and reconciling
• Banking and bank statement processing
• Assisting with accounts payable and receivable duties
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Month and year end processes and reporting
• Preparing and processing EFT payments and cheques

Previous exposure working within a professional office environment would be desirable, however not essential.

Key attributes would include:

• Completion or significantly working towards of a Bachelor degree majoring in Accounting
• Strong PC literacy and highly developed skills in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
• Ability to clearly communicate with effective and clear verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail skils with a focus on meeting deadlines
• Commitment to learning and knowledge sharing with a positive attitude
• Total commitment to your career and professional development
• Australian full-time working rights are a must
