What you will be Doing

WorkPac are currently seeking Conditioning Monitoring Technicians for a mine site in the Pilbara. You will be required to have experience and be responsible for:

  • Monitoring the health of fixed plant equipment using oil analysis and vibration techniques.
  • Collecting and analysing machinery vibration data to assess equipment condition and recommend corrective actions.
  • Performing non-routine inspections, ultrasonic testing, and thickness testing.
  • Supporting acceptance testing for newly installed equipment.
  • Collaborating with reliability engineers, maintenance, and production teams to align condition monitoring with broader maintenance strategies.
  • Inspecting dismantled parts and correlating findings with analysis results.
  • Applying advanced techniques such as phase analysis, impact testing, and ODS to resolve complex vibration issues.
  • Ensuring all work complies with Rio Tinto's safety systems and relevant regulations.

What you will need

  • Mechanical Trade qualification and/or background in reliability engineering.
  • Australian "C" Class manual driver's licence.
  • Level 1 & 2 Certification in Vibration Analysis.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and machine failure investigation.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar CMMS systems.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to changing workloads.
  • Ability to work in very hot and extremely remote environments
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
  • Current Drivers Licence & right to work in Australia
