The opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and outdoorsy individual to join our Site Services team as a Junior Soil Technician on a full-time basis in the Perth Metropolitan Area. Reporting to the Site Services Assistant Manager, the duties within this role include:

  • Compaction testing of residential sand pads

  • Site inspections for site and wind-class classifications.

  • Vegetation assessments for Bushfire Attack Levels (BALs)

  • Ground Slab certifications

  • Compliance with Company OSH policies and procedures

Opportunity to grow these inspection duties into more interpretative report writing will follow quickly if potential presents.

** A work vehicle, mobile phone, and iPad will be provided upon successfully completing the training. **

Who are we looking for?

Stand out applicants must have a 'can-do' attitude and a willingness to learn. In addition, the successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • A valid C class Drivers Licence

  • Physical fitness to a level that will allow you to operate equipment such as penetrometer and petrol / hand augers and other hand tools safely and competently

  • Enjoy working autonomously, and outdoors

  • A client focus

  • Ability to work day to day unsupervised on a variety of site's.

  • Ability to follow procedures accurately and efficiently

  • Self-motivation and proactivity

  • A basic knowledge about different soil types (advantageous)

  • White card (advantageous)

  • No previous experience required

You must enjoy working outdoors as this position will require you to mostly work outside on the field.
