Junior Accountant

About You

We're looking for a motivated and ambitious Junior Accountant to join our Surfers Paradise office on the Gold Coast. This is a great opportunity if you're early in your accounting career and eager to grow. You'll be supported by experienced managers, gain exposure to a wide range of client work, and develop both your technical and client-facing skills.

What you'll be doing (but not limited to):

• Depending on your level of experience, handling tax returns and activity statements
• Processing BAS and liaising with the Australian Taxation Office on behalf of clients
• Assisting clients with bookkeeping tasks
• Supporting managers with client engagements and workflow management
• Gaining exposure to varied client types—business owners, trades, property investors, individual clients
• Constant learning: sharpening both your soft skills (communication, client interaction) and technical accounting ability
• Income range will depend on your experience level, the complexity of client work, and amount of client-facing responsibility

What we're looking for: Highly desirable qualifications & skills

• Diploma/Certificate of Accounting or Bachelor degree in Accounting (or equivalent)
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Friendly, proactive attitude with a strong degree of initiative
• Great work ethic and a genuine willingness to learn and grow
