Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Synthetic Biologist located in North Ryde, NSW. The Synthetic Biologist will be responsible for conducting laboratory experiments, developing and optimizing synthetic biology protocols, and collaborating with the research team to improve production processes. Day-to-day tasks will include performing microbiological assays, genetic manipulation, data analysis, and documenting experimental results.

Qualifications

  • Laboratory Skills and Microbiology expertise
  • Research experience in synthetic biology or related fields
  • Understanding of lipids and lipid extraction from microbes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Minimal of Bachelor's or advanced degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related field (preferred Master of Research or PhD in related field).
