is seeking a driven and detail-oriented
Intermediate to Senior Tax Accountant
to join their growing team. This firm offers a wide range of services including business advisory, tax compliance, and strategic financial guidance to a diverse client base, primarily in the SME sector.

Role Overview

This is a
full-time, hybrid role
(partly on-site in North Sydney and partly work-from-home), ideal for an accountant with solid tax experience in public practice who is looking to grow within a dynamic and supportive environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tax compliance work, preparing financial statements, and contributing to advisory engagements across a variety of clients including individuals, companies, trusts, and SMSFs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for a range of entities
  • Ensure all compliance work is completed in line with ATO requirements and deadlines
  • Support tax planning activities and general business advisory services
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients through clear and proactive communication
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver timely and high-quality work
  • Stay up to date with tax legislation and compliance changes

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Australian public practice
  • Strong technical understanding of tax compliance and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, HandiSoft, or similar
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • CA or CPA qualified, or currently working towards it
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
