The Role

As our Practice Nurse, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting patients post-surgery, ensuring their physical and emotional wellbeing. You'll work independently and strategically to deliver high-quality nursing care, assist with clinical assessments, and collaborate closely with our medical team.

Key Responsibilities

Provide holistic post-operative care, including wound management and mental health support

Triage patients via phone and in-person, offering clinical assessment and treatment

Communicate pathology results and empower patients with health education

Maintain infection control standards and manage sterilisation protocols

Collaborate with practitioners to plan and evaluate patient care

Ensure accurate clinical documentation and stock management

Contribute to a safe, efficient, and supportive team environment

What You'll Bring

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Experience in ED, surgical wards, or theatre nursing
  • Strong wound care and triage skills
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities
  • A proactive, empathetic, and patient-focused approach
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
