About You

You're a hands-on, practical person with a solid understanding of materials and how they behave in a metal processing environment. You enjoy problem-solving on the go and supporting a production team to deliver high-quality work.

You bring:

  • Knowledge of various materials and their applications

  • Understanding of steel processing and fabrication workflows

  • Confidence reading drawings and working with technical information

  • A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn new skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the setup and operation of the tube laser machine

  • AutoCAD to support cutting requirements

  • Preparing cutting lists, nesting, and job files for production

  • Helping run the machine and supporting operators

  • Performing basic machine checks, monitoring cut quality, and reporting issues

  • Working closely with the production and engineering teams to meet deadlines

  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work area

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with AutoCAD (required)

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required for this position

  • 3D modelling experience is desirable but not essential

  • Forklift ticket

  • Current forklift license

  • Previous machine operator experience or knowledge is highly valued

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Roster: Full-time permanent position, Monday to Friday, with the possibility for additional hours and weekend work.
