About You
You're a hands-on, practical person with a solid understanding of materials and how they behave in a metal processing environment. You enjoy problem-solving on the go and supporting a production team to deliver high-quality work.
You bring:
Knowledge of various materials and their applications
Understanding of steel processing and fabrication workflows
Confidence reading drawings and working with technical information
A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn new skills
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with the setup and operation of the tube laser machine
AutoCAD to support cutting requirements
Preparing cutting lists, nesting, and job files for production
Helping run the machine and supporting operators
Performing basic machine checks, monitoring cut quality, and reporting issues
Working closely with the production and engineering teams to meet deadlines
Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work area
Skills & Qualifications
Experience with AutoCAD (required)
Proficiency in AutoCAD is required for this position
3D modelling experience is desirable but not essential
Forklift ticket
Current forklift license
Previous machine operator experience or knowledge is highly valued
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Roster: Full-time permanent position, Monday to Friday, with the possibility for additional hours and weekend work.
