Greenkeeper Assistant / Apprentice

Full-Time Position – Dubbo, NSW

Club Dubbo (West Dubbo Bowling Club) is seeking a motivated Greenkeeper / Apprentice to join our team and support the daily maintenance of our bowling greens and generous surrounds. This hands-on role requires a high standard of presentation, a willingness to learn, and a solid understanding of turf practices (or a desire to develop these skills).

The position is based in Dubbo, a vibrant and rapidly growing city in Central West NSW.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain natural turf greens to competition standard year-round
• Mow, roll, top-dress, fertilise, weed, and irrigate as required
• Operate and maintain turf machinery and equipment
• Monitor turf health, including pest control and disease prevention
• Maintain garden beds and clubhouse surrounds
• Ensure compliance with WHS procedures and chemical-use regulations

Skills & Experience

• Certificate III in Sports Turf Management (or equivalent) preferred
• Current driver's licence and chemical application certification preferred
• Experience in bowling green maintenance highly regarded
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in presentation
• Ability to start early and work occasional weekends
