ARA is seeking casual project electricians to assist with a major process plant upgrade in Bendigo Victoria.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Installing and maintaining electrical systems and equipment associated with a wide range of electrical systems
  • Installing, terminating and commissioning automation equipment such as PLC's, motors, process instrumentation & HMI's.
  • Installing, terminating and commissioning major LV power upgrades up to 3200A, including the installation of large mains cables, MDB's and MCC's.
  • Installing, terminating and commissioning safety systems including, safety PLC's, safety relays, Estops, gate switches, safety lanyards etc.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical faults
  • Working within a fantastic team environment to complete major projects
  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and project documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Qualifications and experience required:

  • A - Grade Electrical License
  • White card
  • EWP Yellow and High Risk
  • Experience in an industrial electrical environment encouraged but not essential
  • Experience in installing cable ladder, mains cabling and distribution boards.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • A commitment to safety and a proactive attitude towards safety in the workplace
